MIND. End Of Season Self-Maintenance.

I was recently led in a Zoom session by the thoughtful, intentional and intelligent Jessica Jordan and Stacy Pavich. We were formerly Backroads colleagues, now both of these women are fearlessly diving into entrepreneurial pursuits in coaching with people from across the globe. They are offering another free session of Refill Your Cup that I attended, so if you would like a group session with some gifted women, this would be it.

I joined in on the session last minute- truly, on a whim. It was only because I had unexpected space with a patient cancelling that morning. It amazes me to think I could have missed out on the gift I received by choosing to pause instead of power through more perceived productivity. It’s so easy to be that person enthralled with checking things off, getting tasks done, feeling and being perceived as productive (and for me, therefore, valuable). Its experiences like this one - where I choose to slow down - when I realize the power of doing less every now and again. While not outwardly “productive,” I think of all that was produced from that 1.5 hours of deceleration. Like this post. Or some meaningful words, conclusions to 2023. Pages in my journal of thought and reflection. Sourced inspiration that is helping to direct my next moves.

I wanted to share my favorite reflection exercise that they prompted us for reflection in the end-of-year review:

If this year of your life was the title of a book, what would it be called? What would the title of the chapters be? Major themes? Primary conflict and challenges? Foes, guides? What is the next chapter or sequel?

Here is an invitation to Sit. Be still. Reflect on your own story. Where it’s been, where it’s going. You are the main character, with full agency. What is it like to be in this current chapter?

Credit goes to Stacy and Jess for the generosity of sharing - their contact info below. If anyone is looking for a guided session, I highly recommend both for their acumen in relating to others. They will also be offering another Refill Your Cup session next week you can join in on.
